Former model Jerry Hall didn’t get what she wanted then, but did she really need this now?

News Corporation executive chairman Rupert Murdoch, 84, has announced his engagement to former model and actress Jerry Hall.
The couple got engaged over the weekend in Los Angeles, where they attended the 73rd Golden Globes awards gala – although Hall was not pictured sporting a ring on the red carpet.
Hall lives in the leafy, riverside London suburb of Richmond, where she raised her and Jagger’s four children.
The new couple was first spotted together four months ago, and according to a spokesman, began dating over the summer. After dating Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger from around 1977 to 1990 (with some on-off time in between), she Wednesday Jagger in a Hindu ceremony in Bali in 1990.
The Texas-born Hall gained fame in the 1970s as a supermodel. Murdoch’s discovery of his wife’s crush was said to be the “final straw” that prompted him to file for divorce after14 years of marriage. He was previously in a 14-year marriage with Wendi Deng, which ended in 2014.
“There is a family trust which controls 40% of the voting shares in the Murdoch empire… the question was what would happen with the daughters of Wendy Deng”, he said.
News Corp Australia journalists have been among those to congratulate the couple on social media. The former is now CEO of 21st Century Fox; the latter, co-chairman of Fox and News Corp., with his father.
In the face of several political oppositions across countries, Murdoch triumphantly managed to spread his dynasty and become one of the most recognizable and powerful men in the business world. “Lachlan Murdoch, was appointed executive co-chairman, working alongside Rupert”.

Last August, Jerry admitted she was keen to marry again.
