Roethlisberger went back in and drove the Steelers to midfield, where the Bengals had the Steelers stopped before the penalties on Burfict and Jones.

Marshall, the Jets receiver and an “Inside the NFL” regular, pressed Jones, the Bengals cornerback, on a number of topics connected to that chaotic finish of last weekend’s Steelers-Bengals playoff game.

On Monday, Foster claimed multiple Cincinnati Bengals players spit on Steelers players during the Steelers 18-16 victory over the Bengals on Saturday night.

Antonio Brown was attempting to make a reception when, boom!, he was blindsided by Vontaze Burfict who hurtled himself headfirst into the helmet of Antonio Brown, who then fell onto the field limp.

Sources say The Steelers have powered through some injuries this season but none could be as damaging as if both Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown were out for Sunday’s playoff game against the Denver Broncos. While Roethlisberger is “likely to play” Sunday against the Denver Broncos, per ESPN’s Bob Holtzman (via ESPN.com), Brown is “not looking good”.

But you know and I know, that when [Sunday] gets here, all that is going out the window, man….

Steelers guard David DeCastro also said Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict spit on him.

Brown suffered a concussion on the play, and Burfict was penalized for targeting a defenseless receiver.

And that’s just the stuff we saw on TV.

Burfict was suspended Monday for “repeated violations of safety-related playing rules”, according to an National Football League news release.

Brown had leapt for a pass but as he came down, Burfict contacted him in the helmet with his right shoulder.

Burfict has previously been fined for safety-related violations four times in 2015, including a $50,000 fine for unnecessarily contacting an opponent who was out of the play in Cincinnati’s Week 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

“I honestly don’t know”, Roethlisberger said.

Under the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement, Burfict has three days to appeal the suspension.
