Chandler Jones apologizes for ‘stupid mistake,’ is focused on KC

A short time ago, Bill Belichick held his final press conference before the Patriots’ playoff game against the Chiefs on Saturday. “I’m trying just to clear this, but like I said, I made a stupid mistake, and hopefully it can just blow by”. “We just try to ignore the noise”.

A police log from Foxborough police shows a man identified as Jones entered the department for a medical emergency at 7:42 a.m.

Jones, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, had a bad reaction to synthetic marijuana on Sunday morning.

The Patriots said Jones did not miss any practice or meetings this week.

In a statement Thursday, Town Manager William Keegan Jr. said the incident was treated like any other call for medical help.

He also had a zinger for the Patriots media. He was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday.

“There is nothing more important to me than the health and well being of our players and staff”, he said.

“Chandler’s got a lot of support in this locker room”, receiver Danny Amendola said. “And I’m excited to see what he does this week”.

A few hours after beating the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship previous year, the Patriots were bombarded with accusations that they had supplied improperly inflated footballs for in the game. But this story probably has more twists and turns to come. The appeal is scheduled to be heard after the season.

About 25 minutes after arriving at the police station, Jones was transported by ambulance to Norwood Hospital. In Jones’ case, he had a mild bad reaction to the drug and was able participate in practice the day after being hospitalized, though the ordeal isn’t completely behind him. “Without any warning or provocation”, Jones dropped to his knees and locked his hands behind his head, according to a write-up of the incident by officer David J. Foscaldo.

Asked if he felt the need to apologize to his teammates, he said: “I feel the need to apologize to everyone”. “I care for everybody”. “That’s the way it is with this organization and me, personally”.
