According to TMZ, he had been fighting brain, tongue and throat cancer.
The singer’s husband, Rene Angelil, who discovered the Canadian pop diva and managed her career, died on Thursday at the age of 73 at the couple’s home in Las Vegas.
Daniel is one of Dion’s 13 siblings.
Celine cancelled her shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino following her husband’s death, with her residency return tentatively scheduled for February 23.
