Unlike the Republican side, where sharp words and personal attacks fill campaign commercials and the debates, the Clinton and Sanders campaigns still appear hesitant on overt attacks or outright criticism of primary opponents. During a 20-minute speech, Bill Clinton did not directly mention Sanders, but he asked attendees to sign cards promising to caucus for his wife and to volunteer for her campaign.
But in a campaign that has seen billionaire Donald Trump rise to the top of the Republican presidential field by capitalizing on an electorate angry with the political establishment, Clinton may once again be embracing the mantle of experience at a time when outsider status is in vogue.
The letter, Jeff Weaver said, would prove Sanders – the oldest candidate in the presidential field who also would be the oldest president to take office – is in “excellent health”.

Bernie Sanders on Sunday rejected the Clinton campaign’s assertions that his proposals for single-payer health care would be the undoing of decades of progressive programs and reform. That could clear the way for Clinton’s team to retaliate with its own critical advertising. Sanders is building a coalition of Obama voters.
