Although Cruz acquired American citizenship at birth through his mother, some have argued that as he was born overseas and to a Cuban father, he does not meet the constitutional requirement of being “a natural-born citizen” and is therefore ineligible to serve in the White House.
Asked if he thought Trump crossed the line in criticizing Cruz, Scott Brown politics “is a blood sport” and that he was surprised it has been a civil as it has been.
Trump also had the opportunity to respond to the comments that were made by Governor Haley. “He was a Canadian citizen until 15 months ago, if you can believe that”, Trump said.
Still, Cruz so far showed a little restraint when it came to whacking Trump before voters, rather than just reporters.
“How?” Rubio asked. “You deserve to know that”. Now he doesn’t know that he was a Canadian citizen?
The issues where Cruz has allegedly shifted his position recently include: Free trade, the annual inflow of foreign workers, and ethanol.
Others tweeted about a different kind of “value” – about how many things in NY are expensive.
“I’m unloading on him because he’s been very dishonest”, Trump said. “The Democrats are going to file lawsuits”. “Goldman Sachs owns him, he will do anything they demand”, he wrote.

“Jeb is spending so much money. I think that’s a huge difference”.
“If you look at the top and the bottom of the tickets, the higher you are, the less experience you have”.
Republican presidential candidate Sen. “I think we pride ourselves on being a place of diversity and equality”. He had zero. He had nothing. He’s got an edge that’s not good.

Trump has also been publicly skeptical of Cruz’s eligibility to become president.
