New York Republican John Catsimatidis: Cruz ‘should be ashamed’
Perhaps in one of the most inflammatory parts of his “apology”, Cruz said: “I apologize to all the cops and firefighters and 9/11 heroes who had no choice but to stand and turn their backs on Mayor de Blasio because Mayor de Blasio over and over again stands with the looters and criminals rather than the fearless men and women”.

The billionaire has suggested that Cruz is ineligible to run because of it.
“According to the FEC (Federal Election Commission), Cruz has raised close to half a million dollars from NY donors this election cycle alone”, the pair wrote. And you said it’s something you don’t know about, now he doesn’t know that he was a Canadian citizen? Ted Cruz, R-Texas, from left, participate during the Fox…
Pressed by the host about whether he’d file a lawsuit, because he’d have standing an opposing candidate, Trump said, “I’d like to talk to Ted about that, let’s see how he’d feel about that”. “When the World Trade Center came down I saw something that no place on earth could have handled more beautifully, more humanely than New York”, Trump responded. Some people gave him pretty good reviews on the debate.
Shmuley Boteach, a New Jersey rabbi and former congressional candidate who has been introducing Cruz to New York Jews, told MSNBC he didn’t take the Texas senator’s “New York values” attack too seriously.
Cruz also restated his backhand apology for criticizing Donald Trump’s “New York values”.
“I didn’t have a process server serve him right on the debate stage in South Carolina”, Schwartz said by phone Friday, adding that he paid the $400 filing fee out of his own pocket. Panelist Nicolle Wallace, a GOP consultant, delivered her belief that this moment will pave Trump’s “path to the nomination”, and Ralph Reed agreed by saying Cruz’s words would work to his detriment in Iowa.
Another question came up: whether Cruz’s birth in Canada would make him ineligible to be president. “I think the American people are looking for a commander-in-chief who is stable and steady and a calm hand to keep this country safe”. I would ask most Christians the question, “What is the first thing you do to become a Christian?”
“He’s a nasty guy”, Mr. Trump said on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”.
But, Trump said, “I thought it was disgraceful that he brought that up….” I like them both and they’re just really terrific people.

Not a lot of New Yorkers have given money to Cruz’s bid for the White House.
