Democratic debate heats up; Clinton, Sanders go head to head
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has expanded its investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email during her time as secretary of state.

Sanders, who was behind by as many as 30 percentage points in the summer, now enjoys a comfortable lead in New Hampshire, with a 50-37 point margin, according to a Fox News poll released last week.
Just as Republicans in North Charleston talked a lot about Iowa, Democrats have reason to do so, too.
Almost 500 people showed up in Coralville Friday night for a Clinton rally. “But it’s a real race”.
Both Schiff and Blumenthal are Clinton backers, and Schiff traveled to New Hampshire this week to meet with volunteers working on Clinton’s behalf.
The Democratic presidential polls are tightening as we close in on the first-in-the-nation Iowa Caucus (Feb. 1) and New Hampshire primary (Feb. 9), and that has many Republicans chortling.
“We’ve kind of known all along that this was going to happen”, says Doug Deaett from Hanover, who has been volunteering with the Sanders Campaign.
In recent days, Clinton has stepped up criticism of Sanders for failing to say how he would pay for a health care plan that some have estimated to cost $15 trillion.
The new approach carries risks.
“I’m pleased that this legislation is being introduced”, Sanders said of Sen. However, her lead in Iowa is dropping far faster than it ever did in 2008, falling over ten points in the past week. The candidate has made near-daily television appearances where she has challenged Sanders’ stances on health care and gun control.
On the other hand, Clinton has some reasons for optimism.
Sanders has also been on the campaign trail with author and professor Cornel West, which Salon called”the radical alliance that could change everything”.
Whilst not being particularly keen on exactly how the iPhone’s auto-correct functionality works, Hillary Clinton did go on to explain that she’s a big fan of photo/video messaging service, Snapchat.
Clinton has tried to dismiss Sanders’ proposals as unrealistic and disingenuous. Richard Blumenthal and California Rep. Adam Schiff to repeal key parts of the 2005 law, which shielded gun manufacturers and sellers from lawsuits relating to damage caused by guns they make or sell.
The debate was scheduled to take place just blocks from the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where nine parishioners were killed in a mass shooting last summer.
The back-and-forth comes two weeks before the Iowa caucus where the latest polls show the two candidates neck-and-neck, and after a week of increased attacks by the Clinton campaign against the Vermont senator.

“We need a president – a Democratic president – to succeed President Obama who has what it takes to get the job done”, she said. “Whatever your ideas are, you’ve got to implement them”.
