Piercy wins Barbasol Championship
Woods did not make a birdie on the easier on the front nine for the second straight day and was six shots over the projected cut line. Henry, Alex Cejka, Carlos Ortiz, Martin Piller, Scott Piercy and Ricky Barnes. Piercy played aggressive golf all day, giving him a score of 65 for the second consecutive day. Fighting back pain, she opened with rounds of 66 and 67 and has only two bogeys over the first 54 holes.

“Shockingly enough, I was still pretty positive”, said Gore, whose only PGA Tour win came a decade ago.
“I played well, I gave myself a lot of chances”, said Hensby, who won his only PGA Tour title at the 2004 John Deere Classic but has struggled in recent years with injuries, poor form and a loss of playing status at the top level. “So we saw balls going in the hole, saw good shots…it’s not so much competing but kind of feeding off each other”.
The 36-year-old Las Vegas player made a 57-foot birdie putt on the second hole en route to his first victory since the 2012 Canadian Open.
The finish was in stark contrast to the way Hensby began his round, making bogeys at the second and sixth holes. Wilcox finished 16 under par, two strokes ahead of the third place.
He finished alongside Barnes and Whee Kim. He was also the highest placing amateur in the tournament.
“I’ve always wanted to be on the Tour”, Shelton said. “I played well all week, that’s all I could ask for”. “To do this with a sponsor exemption, it’s great. I mean, I’m speechless right now”.
The 43-year-old from Melbourne finished 36 holes at nine-under 133 to tie Kim Whee, who fired a five-under 66 at the Grand National Lake Course.
Shelton’s performance was the best by an amateur on a PGA Tour event since 1991, when Phil Mickelson won the Northern Telecom Open as a junior at Arizona State.
The South Hadley native posted a third-round 1-over-par 72 and dropped nine places on the leaderboard to a tie for 72nd. The Auburn alumnus started round four strong, squarely in the thick of the action.

As to why he hasn’t played a PGA Tour event for two years, Hensby said he’s been healthy, but simply has not been given the opportunity after failing to get his card back through Q-School.
