Maz Kanata Used The Force In Deleted Scene
If Maz had used the Force or something like it, as Corbould describes, that would leave the audience with a couple of extra questions about a film that already leaves us with some pretty big questions to chew on. But the mystery about her identity has kept fans busy speculating about whether she is a Skywalker, a Solo or a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Before the first season of Star Wars Rebels aired, there was a lot of talk about the series having some major ties to The Force Awakens. While we did make some executive decisions with a couple clips for pacing (like Han handing a blaster to Rey), we also made some errors that, by all means, seemed to fit at the time.
With that, the most popular stormtrooper has opened up about what fans can expect for the next episode of “Star Wars”.
At the same time, though, J.J. Abrams went from making Into Darkness, a movie that I still get angry over when I think of Alice Eve’s nudity scene, to giving us Rey in The Force Awakens. In truth, she can do much more than that.
Jim Silver, the CEO and editor of toy review website TTPM.com, says another factor behind the perceived lack of Rey was unexpected demand. John Boyega, who played the role of Finn in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, recently spoke with Vogue about “Star Wars: Episode 8”.
This is also interesting: Kylo Ren’s mask wasn’t always present and in some scenes was totally a digital reproduction.
Silver also said Disney was following through on a plan to release a huge batch of products on Force Friday, another set of toys that would have revealed spoilers on the movie’s release date December 18 – including a lightsaber-wielding Rey that was exclusive to the Disney Store – and another batch in January. A wise move, of course, but learning that Abrams had at one point considered an action scene for Nyong’o wise old alien has piqued our curiosity.
