EMS official dies after answering crash call involving 19-year-old daughter
A viewing and funeral services are scheduled Wednesday and Thursday for a public servant and rescue squad member who died after responding to a call involving his 19-year-old daughter.

Eskil “Scott” Danielson, 49, learned that his daughter, Alycia, was involved in the crash and made his way to the scene.
They went to the Newton Medical Center for treatment for her injuries, and Scott Danielson suffered a heart attack emergency room, Eskil “Skip” Danielson told the New Jersey Herald. Doctors treated him there before deciding to airlift him to Morristown Medical Center.
According to Danielson’s obituary, he served more than 35 years with the Lakeland Emergency Squad and was the immediate past chief. In Andover Borough he was a past member of the Andover Borough Fire Company and was also serving his third term on the borough council. He died at 8:30 p.m. The Lakeland Emergency Squad is honoring Captain Danielson at its station: Other emergency responders have posted tributes to Captain Danielson on social media: Captain Danielson is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tammy, and three children, Aaron, Amanda and Alycia. In addition, Danielson’s brother Eric is the Andover Township police chief and his father is a former police chief in Byram.
Scott Danielson was a captain with Warren County Communications, the county-run emergency dispatch service. There’s nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer.
A graduate of the Sussex County Police Academy, he also completed an intense certified public manager Program through Rutgers University and became an expert in the field of police-fire-EMS grantsmanship who successfully acquired several million dollars in funding for communications equipment and fire and EMS vehicles in Sussex and Warren counties. He vacationed at Walt Disney in Florida every year with his family.
‘Scott always put the public’s safety first and foremost in his work and he was a true professional. “He will be missed by many”, the Washington Township, Warren County Police Department wrote on Facebook.

A funeral service will be held the following day at 10 a.m.at the funeral home.
