Liverpool starlet Jerome Sinclair will leave the club next summer upon the expiration of his present contract, according to the BBC.

Fellow Premier League club Watford had been linked with making a move for him, though La Liga side Espanyol have also been credited with an interest in the teenager.

“Sinclair will leave Anfield when his contract expires in the summer”, Simon Stone writes.

While Liverpool fans wait for what must feel like an interminable time for the return of Daniel Sturridge, the £150,000-a-week and nearly permanently injured striker, opportunities are-a-knocking all over Melwood and Anfield for prospective hitmen. Sinclair has been offered a new deal by the club, but has reportedly decided that he wants to chase the prospect of a permanent move to the Spanish league.

The academy star’s unrest has coincided with the appointment of the controversial Aidy Ward as his agent, with Ward having devised Raheem Sterling’s big-money departure from Merseyside in the summer. So, surely, one would imagine the striker would be handed further starts by Klopp, right?

However, Sinclair appears to have his heart set on a move overseas which will be a blow to Liverpool’s hopes of getting a good fee for the player.
