Panthers DE Allen doubtful with broken bone in foot
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson (3) runs by Carolina Panthers defensive end Jared Allen (69) Sunday in Charlotte, N.C. Allen suffered a broken foot in his bone during the game and is questionable for this weekend’s game against Arizona.

Before knowing the results of Allen’s MRI, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said at his Monday press conference that Allen would do everything in his power to play. Allen is going to need surgery heading into the off-season and will miss remained of season.
While there is a slight chance that he will be able to give it a go, this is a tough break for the 33-year-old Allen.
Allen’s injury will be re-evaluated Monday.
Allen was acquired in a trade with the Chicago Bears when, following the third game, Johnson was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return.
Kony Ealy, who started nine games during the regular season, could take Allen’s place in the lineup.
With Allen’s status in serious question for the NFC Championship game, the matchup between the Arizona offense and Carolina defense just got a lot more interesting.

The Panthers likely would call up end Wes Horton up from the practice squad.
