Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey says she plans to return to the Octagon some time later this year, and definitely wants the rematch with Holly Holm.

Speaking to TMZ in Boston where she watched boyfriend Travis Browne defeat Matt Mitrione on Sunday night, Rousey said: ‘[I’ll fight] sometime later in the year. They haven’t told me an exact date or location, but it’s a decision we’ll all make together.

While her return will not happen at UFC 200, Rousey’s insistence that she will return to face Holm in 2016 is exciting news for MMA fans and something of a relief.

Before Holm gets another look at Rousey, she must first defend her title against Meisha Tate at UFC 197. And with many wondering if she was doing too much before her loss to Holm, it makes sense Rousey and White would want to give her all the time necessary to train.

The film’s title is a reference to one of Rousey’s viral videos, which Beyonce has sampled live in concert.

With a superstar the level of Rousey, it’s not unthinkable she would be able to determine when and where her next fight will take place.

Moreover, according to MMA Junkie, it was noted that the reason why she won’t be fighting at UFC 200 was because of a conflict with her filming schedule as per UFC President Dana White.
