Carolina Panthers To Face Arizona Cardinals For NFC Title

The Panthers have won 12 straight games at home.

Newton perhaps summed up Carolina ball best, and he needed only one word.

“I let things work out the way that they work out”, Rawls said. “You have to learn to continue to attack”. They’ve got some playmakers that we saw last night and then they have an aggressive defense. In retrospect, so were the field-goal options for the Seahawks at the end of the first half. “Cam just gave me a chance”.

Lynch made his return to the field from an abdominal injury in Sunday’s game. The quick start basically took away any of Seattle’s running game, and Marshawn Lynch was a non-factor, rushing for just 20 yards on six carries in his first game in over two months.

“We talked all about it”, Carroll said. We may not get as big of a handle as we hoped for considering the team markets, but this should be a fantastic game.

And as the defense was giving up score after score, Carolina’s offense was quiet in the second half, failing to score another point after putting up 31 in the first half. Wilson finished 31-for-48 for 366 yards and three touchdowns. “This is a different quarterback, somebody who I think is a terrific football player”.

For the Carolina Panthers, what a time to be alive. “We struggled so much early in the year to get going, it took us a long time and, when we finally did, we caught fire and got rolling”.

The Panthers were well aware of Wilson’s tweet and they responded to it after Carolina’s win. Carolina’s personnel looks similar to past year, but Newton’s growth has been key.

Cam Newton is changing that perception in his fifth season.

It’s only fitting that the 2016 NFC Championship Game comes down to the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals. The Panthers jumped out 31-0 in the first half before hanging on to win. The Cardinals were set to face a flawed Green Bay Packers team, while the Panthers had the tough task of hosting the red-hot Seattle Seahawks.

The coin toss in overtime, which was one of the weirder coin flips in National Football League history as the coin didn’t flip in the air on the first toss, resulted in the referees flipping the coin for a second time, which the Cardinals won.

The relaxed attitude and what Newton said was conservative play-calling almost resulted in a historic collapse. “But the experience I have, I’ve learned from a lot of opportunities and situations. That’s what you imagine every time you get out there”. “There is no other thought”.

The “public” teams are out of the playoffs so it will be interesting where the bettors take this line. Pittsburgh did a great job down there in the red zone, keeping us from touchdowns. Running back Jonathan Stewart missed the last three games of the regular season with a foot injury but had 19 carries for 108 yards and two touchdowns against Seattle.

The best part about this Carolina team is that Newton doesn’t have to win games by himself, despite having a major lack of household names on offense. In 2008, the Cardinals upset the No. 2-seeded Panthers 33-13 in the divisional playoffs en route to their only Super Bowl appearance.

Heading into the divisional playoffs, Arizona had better Super Bowl odds than Carolina. “It’s insane”, said the Panthers quarterback. “We went into halftime, we said we didn’t want to do it. It’s nearly human nature. Then he came out and a couple guys slipped on the play”, Sherman said. “We just have to be more consistent”.
