Sanders has ridden an unexpected wave of enthusiasm to consistently edge out Clinton in New Hampshire, and is in a virtual tie with the former secretary of state in Iowa.

Advisers to Hillary Clinton, believe that her campaign made serious miscalculations by forgoing early attacks on Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and failing to undercut his message before it grew into a political movement that has now put him within striking distance of beating her in Iowa and New Hampshire.
“Anything personal, we don’t do that in our side of the debate”, Clinton said. “This is not a negative ad”, he said, “Everybody knows that there are two divisions… there is a division in the Democratic Party”. In a debate last month, Clinton said she would turn to her husband for economic advice.
There was a time when Democrats fretted about Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign becoming a coronation but that’s no longer the case. Sanders is doing just as well as Clinton in many head-to-head polls against Trump.
Clinton continued that once again being the leader in advanced manufacturing is not “pie in the sky stuff”.
Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said in a tweet that the rival team was pleased with the change, and suggested it was a flip-flop. The impression Clinton and her insurgent challenger, Sanders make on Sunday could presage their performance on February 1.

But does that mean Sanders’ campaign won’t go after Clinton on issues they think she is weak on?
Meanwhile in Iowa, Clinton’s once solid lead is dwindling and it seems the Hawkeye State is up for grabs.
