The Canadian pop singer’s representative confirmed the news and her website posted a statement hours following Daniel’s demise.
Celine’s husband René Angélil died from throat cancer aged 73 on Thursday.
According to AJC Angelil was Celine Dion manager for decades, and the couple were constantly seen together. The Dion siblings, including Celine, performed at their parents’ small piano bar called Le Vieux Baril (“The Old Barrel”) in the town of Charlemagne, Quebec.
His funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where the pair Wednesday.
A public memorial will also be held February 3 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where Dion has her concert residency.

“Celine is still in Vegas with her kids making plans for (her husband’s) funeral”.
“He was ready, and isn’t suffering any more”, she said.
