The Division Won’t Include Brooklyn at Launch

In an interview with Examiner, The Division Creative Director Magnus Jansen said that this area was chosen “because of the 1 to 1 re-creation and the way the pandemic has [happened]”. Since everyone tried to get out and everything has been hit, there is no more traffic, no more gasoline in the cars and no more resources. “The PC is a super diverse platform, there are so many configurations and so many things you can have”.

The previous versions of the popular shooter action game “The Division” included various sections of Brooklyn.

Players of “Tom Clancy’s The Division” will find that the game’s open world environment will be set in Midtown Manhattan. We’ve been working on this game for quite a while, and we’re very happy to release it, but our work is not done then. That doesn’t mean that it’ll never arrive, as, according to Gerighty, the game is an ongoing, evolving game, so it’s possible that a player trading system could come eventually.

There has been much speculation how Tom Clancy’s The Division will perform on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, specially given Ubisoft’s somewhat disappointing “tech” record on modern consoles and gaming PCs.

Gamers will have to explore Manhattan, take out enemies and solve a variety of challenges with groups of other players but they can also choose to fight them in the Dark Zone area, which offers access to some hard missions and exclusive loot. The game will feature a strong Multiplayer as it is said to be a Massively Multiplayer Online Game.
