Even though Wonder Woman makes her DC debut in Dawn of Justice, there’s the little matter of her fabled backstory that won’t be tackled during that opus. All will be certain when Wonder Woman is released on June 23rd, 2017. We’ve yet to see much from the film, which is still in production, but we’d expect a few more images to arrive soon enough.

The first footage is from Batman vs Superman. Played by Gal Gadot, we’ll meet Princess Diana and some of her family (including her mother, played by Connie Nielsen) as she has her first encounter with USA air intelligence officer Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), a man who will have a huge effect on her life, and she on his. DC has stated in the past that she is older than most of the other characters in the DC universe.

What do you think of the logo?

Gal Gadot stars as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that’ll hit in March, but Patty Jenkins (the director of Monster) is directing Wonder Woman.
