Trump endorsed by John Wayne’s daughter

Donald Trump, the national front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, on Monday won the formal endorsement of the daughter of legendary actor John Wayne. “That’s a good problem for voters to have, because we know that, as you say, they are both strong and very decisive and someone who would take the initiative”. “The reason I am here to support Mr. Trump is because America needs help, and we need a strong leader, and we need someone like Mr. Trump with leadership qualities, someone with courage, someone who is strong like John Wayne”.

Mr. Trump’s supporters have long viewed the straightforward and combative Mr. Trump as a John Wayne figure who they believe ban unite blue-collar and conservative voters to win the White House and put the country back on track. Wayne’s daughter Aissa Wayne endorsed Trump.

“I think it would come down to Cruz and Trump, to tell you the truth”, Palin said.

“And he represented real strength and an inner strength that you don’t see very often, and that’s why this endorsement it meant so much to me”. “I met him one time and it made such an impression”. Come to think of it, there aren’t too many people bigger than life.

It was already expected that Ms Palin, who has played the role of political powerbroker since her unsuccessful vice-presidential bid, would appear alongside Mr Trump at a campaign rally Tuesday in Ames, Iowa. Trump responded by saying he had no problem with Limbaugh, and no problem with being a conservative.

“Ted has a rough temperament”, Mr. Trump said. “I’m a big fan of Sarah Palin, yes”, Trump said.

These endorsements are a big deal for Donald Trump. It’s not a good thing to do if you want to sort of curry favor and get the positive votes later on down.

This was to be Trump’s first event in Iowa, one of the battleground states where he is in close competition with Ted Cruz. “I am proud to have her support”. “We do things different, and we reach out to people that wouldn’t normally be caught dead at caucus events, and so we feel really good about our chances”. I really appreciate it. This is such an honor.
