Donald Trump isn’t one to share the spotlight, but on Tuesday night, he made an exception for the former Alaska governor and John McCain’s 2008 vice presidential running mate.

In her folksy, free-associative rhetorical style, Palin rattled off a number of conservative priorities in rapid succession that she said Trump would help accomplish – including the need to project USA strength and the need to secure the U.S. border.
“I am greatly honored to receive Sarah’s endorsement”, Trump said in a statement.
Pressed again what kind of voters Palin’s support could bring to Trump, McCain replied, “I don’t know – you’ll have to ask pollsters”. “But it would be really great to have someone who knows energy and is pro-responsible development to be in charge”.
The news about Track Palin, 26, comes via CBS News, which attributed it to a statement from the city’s police department.
A conservative writer expressed exasperation that Palin would endorse a candidate with such anti-conservative policies.
“I am in it to win it”, she added.
She devoted a large portion of her speech to deflecting criticism from Cruz and others that Trump, who did not oppose legal abortion at least for a time, was not a true conservative.
But some rally-goers at Trump’s event Tuesday evening said they weren’t sure whether Palin’s support would help Trump.

Trump has taken fire from his opponents and the GOP establishment, suggesting his views haven’t always been in line with conservative orthodoxy, or even the mainstream Republican party. She frequently offers political commentary on cable news channels, has starred in a reality television show and is a regular featured guest at conservative conventions.
The Trump campaign “is playing very serious ball here in Iowa and if this were isolated and one endorsement, that’s one thing”, Perkins said. Several referenced what many saw as her poor performance as a vice presidential candidate.
Trump is meanwhile kicking off a swing through Iowa at the John Wayne Birthplace Museum, where he received an endorsement from the film actor’s daughter.

“We need someone like Mr. Trump with leadership qualities, someone with courage, someone that’s strong – like John Wayne”, Aissa Wayne said.
