Former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has thrown her support behind frontrunner Donald Trump for the party’s presidential nomination.

“I am greatly honored to receive Sarah’s endorsement”, Trump said in a statement.
Palin will join Trump at two events today, including a rally in Tulsa, Okla.
When Palin finally ended, Trump came up and sang her praises too and they embraced.
Palin, who often discusses her Christian faith, is popular among that group and endorsed Cruz when he ran for the U.S. Senate in 2012.
” Trump’ s temporary ban proposal is in the context of doing all we can to force the Feds to acknowledge their lack of strategy to deal with terrorism”, she wrote on Facebook. “He’s going rogue left and right”.

The Texas senator and his campaign had already sought to downplay the impact of a Palin endorsement of Trump on Tuesday. But her rambling address included applause lines that fell flat – like when she said Trump would use military might sparingly: “Jihadists…”
Ms Palin was a former beauty-pageant victor who professed a love of hunting with guns, and thought it more important that the United States increase drilling for oil than fret about climate change. “So we think once Iowans realize that fact, they might find other things attractive but he could be very damaging to our state”.
But Charles C.W. Cooke noted something he’d written a year ago about Palin: that she was less like Ronald Reagan and more like Trump, less about conservative principles than about selling emotion and outrage.

She also has produced and starred in a series of staged television shows about her family set against the backdrop of Alaska’s rugged outdoors.
“I think it helps Trump overwhelm the news cycle with Trump coverage at a critical time”, he said.
Asked at the Capitol in Washington what impact Palin’s endorsement would have when people start voting in Iowa, McCain said Tuesday, “I have no idea”.
Track Palin was arraigned in Palmer District Court and was released after posting $1500 bail later Tuesday. “So, you know, if I were in charge of that, it would be a short-term job”. “I’d like to see her as vice president”.
Earlier Tuesday, Trump received an endorsement from the daughter of movie star John Wayne.

Standing in front of a life-size, rifle-toting model of the actor in full cowboy gear, Trump accepted the endorsement of Aissa Wayne at the John Wayne Birthplace Museum in Winterset, Iowa. She said the country needed the billionaire’s leadership and called him a strong and courageous leader like her father.
