David Bowie, remembered in 9 songs that sampled him
According to the Daily Mirror, David had told his nearest and dearest, including his 60-year-old wife Iman, that he only wanted to remembered for his music. “I wasn’t, however, prepared for it”, he wrote on Facebook. The emotional trip was a chance for the music icon to walk through the city where he began his journey, to revisit the places that had meant so much to him and where it all began.

Bowie could sell some 130,000 copies of his recently released “Blackstar” album in the U.S.in the week ending January 14, Billboard reports.
Figures from global streaming service Spotify show there was a jump of 2,822% in Bowie songs played in the hours after his death was announced.
Following the news of the “Heroes” songwriter’s death on Sunday (01.10.16) from cancer at the age of 69, Rod has now taken to his Instagram account to praise his peer and champion his unparalleled talent.

He has been part of our life for 40 years.
