Trump, Cruz, Campaign in N.H
Trump subsequently portrayed Cruz as a hypocrite who ran against Wall Street as a Tea Party candidate while becoming beholden to big bankers.

“Often conservatives are just all over the place and they dissipate their strength by spreading it out across too many candidates, ” said New Hampshire state Rep. Bill O’Brien, a state co-chair for Cruz.
“Donald seems to be a little rattled”, Cruz told reporters before a town hall in Washington, New Hampshire on Monday.
Still, others aren’t quite sure.
Unfortunately for Mr Trump, he referenced “Two Corinthians” instead of “Second Corinthians”.
And Steve Jesseman, a campground owner from Lisbon, refused to rule Trump out for his vote after Cruz’s Monday night event, but he said he is now “closer to voting for Cruz than when I got here”. “Now, Reagan had a little bit of this, but I don’t think to the same extent – but he also won”. Several questioners wondered how an experienced politician can compete in an election dominated by anger with those who have held elected office.
Of his departure, he memorably said, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party”. Other candidates most likely to appeal to the same voters – Ben Carson, Rick Santorum, and Mike Huckabee – are mostly ignoring the state.
Trump’s attacks on Cruz have begun drawing both blood and protests from ideological conservatives.
For Republicans, the only good outcome of Trump vs. Cruz is for both to lose.
Bizarrely, though, they’re saying they’re insulted and calling for an apology from Cruz.
Mr Cruz said he wouldn’t engage in a “cage match” with Mr Trump, tweeting that the New Yorker was “terrific”.
Ted Cruz, speaking in SC here, leads the Des Moines Register Iowa Poll.
Even if Cruz can win the state, a strong showing after an Iowa win could be a springboard to a spate of early primary victories. The latest average of polls by RealClearPolitics.com shows Trump ahead by one point. Weaver dismissed the media’s dismissal of his candidate’s solid debate performance last Thursday.
“You know, he talks about he’s going to be Robin Hood, he’s protecting, then it finds out on his personal disclosure form he didn’t disclose that he’s borrowing a lot of money from Goldman Sachs”, Trump told a crowd of supporters. “Because Trump brought up 9/11, Cruz had to stand there and applaud Trump while he does it. That’s like getting a guy to cheer for you as you make love to his wife…’Can I get you a Gatorade, Mr. Trump, you were putting in quite the workout'”. “This is the only method that could determine it by then and it’s going to be very hard to get it all through the courts without the cooperation of Sen”. “You can’t call people liars on the Senate floor when they’re your leader….”
Cruz questioned Trump’s conservative conversion, laying out the striking differences between the GOP front-runner and the actor-turned-president Ronald Reagan.
“My mind was made up a long time ago for Ted Cruz”, said Washington resident Kirstlyn Dube. “It proves Trump is the ultimate opportunist”. Weathervanes have far more integrity than Trump, because they at least are tethered to the reality of the wind. “We’re being torn apart from the inside”.

Bush alone expressed outrage at Trump’s proposal (“all Muslims – seriously?”) but he had no chance to draw an extended contrast with Trump in the seven-way competition for air time. Much of the Republican donor class is convinced that Cruz is the political equivalent of Barry Goldwater, in part because of his very conservative social views.
