“Often conservatives are just all over the place and they dissipate their strength by spreading it out across too many candidates, ” said New Hampshire state Rep. Bill O’Brien, a state co-chair for Cruz.

For Republicans, the only good outcome of Trump vs. Cruz is for both to lose.
Bizarrely, though, they’re saying they’re insulted and calling for an apology from Cruz.
Mr Cruz said he wouldn’t engage in a “cage match” with Mr Trump, tweeting that the New Yorker was “terrific”.

Even if Cruz can win the state, a strong showing after an Iowa win could be a springboard to a spate of early primary victories. Cruz questioned Trump’s conservative conversion, laying out the striking differences between the GOP front-runner and the actor-turned-president Ronald Reagan.
