Bernie Sanders Might Be Side-Eyeing His Way To The Democratic Nomination

The Monmouth measurement of Sanders’s support among young people resembles the results of a recent USA TODAY/Rock the Vote survey that found he leads Clinton 46%-35%, among millennial Democrats and independents.

When Sanders noted bluntly that he hadn’t taken campaign contributions from Wall Street banks or lucrative speaking fees from Goldman Sachs – unlike Clinton – the former secretary of state tried to turn it into an attack on Obama.

“The stakes are high”, they warn in the letter. They also pointed to an earlier Sanders statement suggesting that Iran should send more troops to Syria and join in a military coalition with Saudi Arabia.

But the loyal Democrats I spoke with also wished there was more passion in Clinton’s appeal to go along with the pragmatism.

The Sanders campaign has hired a large staff in Nevada to make up ground against Clinton, who’s been operating in the state since launching her campaign last spring. “We’re not going to tear up the Affordable Care Act”.

Casting herself as a candidate who would embrace President Abreact Obama’s agenda and build on it, Clinton said Senator Sanders had voted to deregulate the financial market in 2000 in a way that led to the central causes of the financial collapse of 2008 that pitched the US economy into a deep recession.

“We have accomplished so much already”.

Should Mr Sanders win both states, it will be a very bruised Mrs Clinton going into the Nevada caucus and SC primary, both of which she is expected to win comfortably.

In a phone interview on “The Rachel Maddow Show” Monday, the Democratic candidate said she loves the debates and was unaware of any effort to limit their number or schedule them during low viewership times. But among black and Latino voters, Clinton has actually expanded her lead from 61-to-18 to 71-to-21. Many have accused Sanders of “flip-flopping” on these issues, especially Clinton’s campaign.

Bernie Sanders is beating Hillary Clinton by a whopping 27 percentage points among Democratic primary voters in New Hampshire, according to a new CNN/WMUR poll.

The shift is, in part, due to waning of interest in the issue of national security among Democratic primary voters. Let’s look at some more trends – since a year ago Senator Sanders net favorable rating in New Hampshire has steadily improved while Secretary Clinton’s has eroded over the same period of time.
