Cruz rips Trump’s self-comparison to Ronald Reagan
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Saturday criticized GOP rival Ted Cruz for taking money from donors “who espouse gay marriage”. And it is likely to be dominated by his increasingly nasty feud with Trump, who hovered over Cruz’s launch even as Cruz seems not completely eager to bash him in front of an audience. “Nobody in Congress likes him”.

“I think most people know exactly what “New York values” are, and frankly, they are not the rest of the country’s values. Coming off a very strong debate, he should have good, energetic crowds, and should he do well in the primary, he could knock some candidates out of the race”, said New Hampshire Republican strategist Craig Stevens. I would ask most Christians the question, “What is the first thing you do to become a Christian?” Cruz has responded by questioning Trump’s “New York values” – a coded suggestion that Trump is too liberal to be a Republican.
Cruz also linked to a 1999 video (below) of Trump explaining how he is pro-choice and supports gay rights based on his life in New York City. “I respect him personally”, Cruz said in the preface to his critique.
When asked about Trump’s latest line of attack – that some unreported bank loans to Cruz show he is controlled by Wall Street interests – the Texas senator turned the tables, telling the Kuhner Report that it was Trump who had stood with big business during the fights over TARP and the 2009 economic stimulus package.
The split between the two is evidence of the closeness of the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, particularly in Iowa.
“Listen, Donald Trump vocally and enthusiastically supported TARP, the bailout of the big banks”. On Twitter, he posted a picture of Ground Zero with the question, “Is this the NY that Ted Cruz is talking about & demeaning?” However, it is clear that it marks a new and far more brutal stage of the Republican primary, with just over two weeks left before the Iowa caucuses. Ted Cruz are leading the field in Iowa, according to polls.
SNL mocked the real Chris Christie’s ludicrous statement during Thursday’s debate, that he will kick President Barack Obama’s “read end” out of the White House, and mocked Jeb Bush, Ben Carson and Marco Rubio as well.
“I think the American people want a steady hand at the helm”, Cruz argued. “It’s a political game to try to differentiate himself from Donald Trump who he’s been kissing up to for nine months”, Christie said.
Cruz insists he will not turn the battle with Trump into a personal war, sticking closely to policy contrasts.

The Trump team’s attack comes as hostility between its camp and the Cruz campaign is at an all-time high. Roberts’ opinion also undercut decades of liberal jurisprudence going back to the New Deal era, however, and allowed Republican governors to deny the law’s benefits to low-income citizens who would have been otherwise eligible for Medicaid under Obamacare. Instead of celebrating Christmas, New Yorkers celebrate a pagan holiday called “Festivus, ‘” Killam said.
