Powerball jackpot increased to $1.5 billion for Wednesday’s drawing

The Powerball jackpot has reached an estimated $1.5 billion, as sales push the total higher and higher ahead of Wednesday night’s drawing.

Drawings are at 10:59 p.m. ET on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

To win the jackpot, a ticket holder has to match all numbers on five white balls and one red ball selected at the twice weekly Powerball draw – next due on Wednesday at 3.59am GMT on Thursday.
