Bush placed third at 13 percent, his largest showing of support in SC over the past 15 polls dating to August, according to results compiled by Real Clear Politics.

The ad – which the group spent $125,000 to air on news, sports, and Christian radio stations in Iowa – is part of a groundswell of attacks on Cruz’s faith as his poll numbers continue to rise in the The Hawkeye State, where he is now neck-in-neck with rival and national frontrunner Donald Trump. He is followed by Marco Rubio at 11 percent and Ben Carson at eight percent.

“It should be noted that the two candidates from Florida are pulling a combined 25 percent of the vote, which suggests that if one of them takes a solid lead of the other in earlier states, that candidate might be a significant player in the Florida primary”.

“Goldman Sachs owns him”, Trump said touring Iowa, referring to one of the undisclosed loans.

East Feliciana Parish Registrar of Voters Bobbie G. Ross offered some information about the upcoming presidential preference primary election slated for March 5.

The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 4.8 percent. Eighty percent responded by phone, and 20 percent online.

Bush, whose brother and father won primaries in SC en route to the presidency, was the front-runner in the state before Trump entered the race over the summer. “It’s possible that the presidential race will dominate the Senate race to the extent that the victor of the presidential race will carry the senator with him into office”.
