Rubio: faith ‘single greatest influence in my life’

“No one is going to force you to believe in God, but no one is going to force me to stop talking about God”, said the Florida senator, prompting applause and a whistle of support from the crowd at a campaign appearance.

Sensing uncertainty in the room, Rubio quickly cautioned: “You can’t do any of that right now, and you won’t be able to do any of that until you prove that illegal immigration is under control”.

I would say this, though: You shouldn’t be anxious about my faith influencing me. “People that haven’t heard from Republicans in the past, and when I’m our nominee we’re going to do that”, Sen. “And I think you should hope that that influences me”. I choose Marco Rubio for president. “My faith teaches me that I have an obligation for those who are hungry to help try to feed them; for those that are naked, to help clothe them”, Rubio said.

Marco Rubio, at a quick stopover in Minneapolis Tuesday morning, touted himself as best positioned among the Republican candidates for president to win the general election. “I think Christie has a short half-life”, said former New Hampshire House Speaker Bill O’Brien, a Cruz co-chairman here. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, who leads in the latest Register poll, has captains already committed to cheerlead for him at over 1,300 precincts. “South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who delivered the Republican Party’s response to last week’s State of the Union address, also said Rubio has supported amnesty in the past, though she later said she misspoke”.

The sailors were made to pose on their knees, Rubio continued because “they want to send a message to the world that they have us on our knees… they’re humiliating America and they’re growing stronger and we’re growing weaker”. I’m not sure they’d be able to cleanse themselves of that stink, even if they still believe they’ve still got a shot.

But others question whether a faith-based ad will have the same effect as discussing his religious views in person. In short, many factors need to break Rubio’s way for this strategy to work – so publicly broadcasting it feels like a significant risk.

Jokes aside, Rubio focused on a number of topics at Tanglewood Hills Pavilion, including his plans to balance the budget, get rid of the death tax and rebuild the military.

In Iowa, Rubio is making a renewed push among the evangelical Christian voters that are behind Cruz’s rise. Rubio, the son of Cuban-born immigrants, has suggested that he had a change of heart after the recent terror attacks in Paris and San Bernadino, California, which he says suggest that the issue is no longer just an economic one. I have nothing against those countries.
