Many Kenyans have hope that the Kenya Defense Forces will eventually cease the Al-Shabaab threats within as they have killed many innocent Kenyans in West Gate, Garissa University, Nairobi area and other parts of the country. The group says it is holding some Kenyan soldiers captive.

Kenya immediately launched helicopter search and rescue operations for troops who had fled into the bushes but military reinforcements could not reach the base for two days as al Shabaab possessed anti-aircraft guns, Mwathethe said.

As we remain hopeful, government should give them all necessary support to fight equipped terrorists Al-Shaabab and stop them in Somalia as well.

The Kenyan military said it was still searching for troops, though it would not comment on how many soldiers were unaccounted for.

The man, Eddy Reuben Illah, appeared in court Tuesday, denied the charges and was remanded in custody.

Defence Minister, Raychelle Omamo, called the dead “VIPs, the fallen heroes” as four coffins arrived by plane in the capital, Nairobi.
