Google has reportedly made $31 billion in revenue from Android
Because weather isn’t a dedicated app on Android, Google is able to integrate the new features and weather animations more deeply into the Android search function. Annette Hurst, Oracle’s attorney said in the court hearing: “at one point in time the revenue share was 34 percent”. Google paid Apple a whopping $1 billion in 2014 to remain as the default search engine, according to a report out from Bloomberg on Thursday. Google considers that non-public financial data to be highly sensitive, and public disclosure of the information described herein could have significant negative effects on Google’s business. But for now it remains unclear whether this fixed margin is the share that Google holds back or pays to Apple.

The suit involves Google’s use of a part of a programming language called Java, owned by Oracle.
The search engine giant Google has officially started rolling out new weather cards which offer vibrant and detailed information of the weather conditions.

The company doesn’t publicly break out its Android revenue, but executives have long stressed the growing importance of mobile for Google’s bottom line. At around 3PM on January 21, the transcript vanished from the court’s records, with no indication if the court ruled on sealing it from public view or not.

After US District Judge William Alsup denied that request, Google and Apple filed requests with the court to seal and redact the transcript.
