Znaps is a reversible, magnetic smartphone connector adapter
If you’ve ever owned a MagSafe-equipped device, you’ll know how great it is to be able to magnetically snap your power adapter in place, and just as easily tug it free.

The Znaps adapter that fits to the charge cable has a magnetic attachment on the end that connects to the little adapter you place into the charge port of your phone.
ZNAPS’ magnetic charging adapter aims to make not just make it easier to charge your device, but also transferring your data. Znaps also has a small LED light that indicates it is now charging.
All of us have probably dealt with these things in one way or another: frayed cables, tripping on wires while charging, accidentally destroying the charging/data port of your smartphone.
‘[It ends] pointless fiddling to plug in cable in the dark, water damage through charging outlet, and more.’.
It’s similar to Apple’s MagSafe power connector, which allows you to easily plug and unplug the power connector to your laptop with a satisfying magnetic snap.
When the USB ChargeDoubler cable is connected to a device and the charging source, it communicates with both using its internal circuit board. Their creators have turned to Kickstarter to raise $US120,000 to help put them into production, and to date the crowdfunding campaign has raised nearly half a million dollars. As with any Kickstarter product, the waiting will be the hardest part here as delivery of the Znaps aren’t expected until November of later this year. The Kickstarter still has 24 days to go before it ends.

One of the coolest little features that Apple throws at the MacBook is the magnetic power adapter. At the time of writing, the inventors behind Znaps have already raised far more than their initial goal of $95,000.
