Pardew: We’d be in top four with Kane

Palace are without a single goal in their last four Premier League games, heightening their need to recruit another striker during the winter window.

“We’ve not had a midweek game, so we’ve been able to do some work (in training) that we hadn’t been able to do since mid-December. They are missing and it gives us a problem”.

Dwight Gayle will not feature because of a hamstring injury, joining Yannick Bolasie and Damien Delaney on the sidelines.

Ben Hunt of the Sun declared Pardew might form a trio of ex-Arsenal players in his attack, combining the talents of the experienced Denmark global with former team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor, with both potentially joining Marouane Chamakh at Selhurst Park.

Alan Pardew will continue with Wayne Hennessey in goal when Crystal Palace face Tottenham on Saturday.

“I need to speak to Jonny but it’s a good chance he will end up at Milton Keynes Dons”, Pardew said, the Croydon Advertiser report. We’ve not let him hide from those mistakes.

Mauricio Pochettino has been keen to keep focus amid talk of a title challenge, but, with FA Cup and Europa League glory to play for and a top-four finish firmly achievable, Spurs travel to south London in good shape to extend Palace’s poor form.

“The players and the squad are very focused, to be ready, to prepare and to compete”.

The England midfielder has not played since suffering his ankle complaint in the goalless draw against Chelsea on November 29.

Pochettino is set to make several changes at the back to the side that won 2-0 at the King Power on Wednesday night with Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld all expected to get recalls.

In terms of performance, it was certainly an improvement on the Villa game, which was more like being unprepared for an exam, going in expecting the worst and then setting the school on fire.
