Asus ZenFone Zoom to launch in India today
The primary focus of the phone is on the camera which features 3X optical Zoom, Laser auto-focus, Optical Image Stabilization and dual-tone LED flashlight. Asus claims that the 10 element lens on ZenFone Zoom is designed by Hoya and the sensor is designed by Panasonic.

ZenFone Zoom’s unique combination of innovations sets a new benchmark for the industry and will raise consumer expectations of smartphone photography.
To recall the specs of the device, ASUS takes pride in the ZenFone ZOOM as the world’s “thinnest phone with 3x optical zoom”. “With ZenFone Zoom, we are introducing an unbeatable smartphone that complements today’s lifestyles and puts professional photography within the reach of everyone”.
The ASUS Zenfone Zoom comes in Black and White colors and is priced at Rs. 37,999. The device also boasts a 5MP front facing snapper. One will be powered by an Intel Atom Quad Core Z3580 processor clocked at 2.3GHz while the other variant houses an Intel Atom Quad Core Z3590 (up to 2 cores running at 2.5GHz).
ZenFone Zoom’s 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom processor carefully balances brilliant performance and superb power efficiency, empowered by Intel’s sophisticated 22nm Silvermont architecture. ZenFone Zoom also has a huge 4GB of fast dual-channel DDR3 RAM, and up to 128GB of storage as an option.

The ZenFone 2 has a 5.5-inch full HD screen so it isn’t like that this particular ZenFone 3 is the high-end device with lesser resolution than the previous model. The smartphone is priced at Rs 37,999 and there is also a bundle with ZenFlash and specially made tripod for Rs 39,999. ZenFone Zoom’s OIS also gives smartphone photographers the confidence to shoot with slower shutter speeds for longer exposures, equivalent to up to four stops – and that means clearer, brighter photos. Fusing the cover-glass and touch-panel layers eliminates the air gap.
