Jackson is the second new head coach to be named this season. “He understands the AFC North, he’s been a part of the AFC North and I think he’s going to be a great head coach of the Cleveland Browns”.

McAdoo moves up • Newsday, a NY newspaper, reported that McAdoo has been hired as the 18th coach in Giants franchise history, that an official announcement is set for Thursday.
Gordon isn’t the only wide receiver the Browns will have to make a decision on.
Jackson joins the team amid other changes at the top.

Unlike his previous coaching searches, Haslam didn’t settle for leftovers in this one.

According to a recent report, the Cleveland Browns are done with quarterback Johnny Manziel. Since Haslam bought the team in 2012, the Browns have gone through three coaches. I’m talking about Pat Shurmur, Rob Chudzinski and Mike Pettine. He was sacked after one season and returned to Cincinnati.
So has as the door has opened for Jackson, it will close for Manziel in Cleveland.
Another factor that has to intrigue the Browns faithful is the savvy staff that Jackson figures to lure to Cleveland. He will have input as well as a yet-to-be-hired general manager.
What this means isn’t totally clear and could be affected by the Jackson situation if San Francisco was aiming high for his services.
“There is more than one way to do things”, he said.
“We have to walk into this building every day ready to work and compete to be the best we can be”, he said.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do”, Jackson said told them. “Eventually everybody’s going to be doing what we’re doing”. As a quarterbacks coach with the Baltimore Ravens in 2008 and 2009, Jackson helped mold Joe Flacco into a quality starter.
Jackson had an 8-8 record in his only season as head coach of the Oakland Raiders in 2011. When video surfaced of Manziel, he lied to the team about how old it was and reportedly asked his friends to lie for him about his whereabouts. He has 1,675 yards on 57.0% passing, with seven touchdowns and five interceptions, plus 259 yards and a score by rushing. Jackson said he was reassured that the organization has no problem moving on from Manziel.
The Browns have the second overall pick in this year’s draft and will likely get a quarterback. Many analysts believe it’ll be California’s Jared Goff. “I’m going to attract good coaches and great coaches”.
This isn’t Jackson’s first rodeo – or his first circus.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – A person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press the Giants are hiring offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo as their next coach.
