Exide Q3 net profit up 38% at Rs 134 crore
SpiceJet has reported a profit of Rs 238.4 crore in Q3, as opposed to a loss of Rs 275 crore in same quarter last fiscal – a 187% improvement.

Battery maker Exide Industries today reported a 37.76 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 133.95 crore for the third quarter ended December 31.
The company added Rs 580 crore to Rs 7,932 crore in market valuation. On a sequential basis, the Internet revenues increased 6.43% from Rs 11.4 crore in the preceding quarter.
“This has resulted in demand slowdown in export market and subdued consumer demand”.
The low cost airline was supposed to wind up its operation last winter after debts ballooned and daily operations came to a grinding halt which propelled founder Ajay Singh to take the reins of the company in his hand.
EBITDA is likely to rise by 6.8 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 3,700 crore, in the third quarter of the financial year 2016, compared with Rs 3,464 crore reported in the year ago period. This load factor reflects an increase of 8% over the same period past year.
It further said during the quarter, ITC’s hotels in Chennai also had to contend with business disruption due to heavy rainfall and floods in the city.
– Radio business ad revenue grew by 26% YoY to Rs 32.3 crore from Rs 25.7 crore in Q3 of last fiscal. “He is responsible for finance, accounting, internal audit and investment subsidiaries of the company”, said ITC.

The company’s research and development spends at Rs 68 crore grew by 45 per cent, reflecting progress of its biosimilars and novel programmes, Biocon said.
