Marvel’s studio president Kevin Feige previously revealed there will be something of a shake up in terms of which of the Avengers will feature in Infinity War – which will be split into two tales. Jessica Jones knocked it out of the park when it hit the streaming service in November, soon to be followed by Luke Cage, Iron Fist and the team-up series The Defenders. “I would pick a fight with the guy that they pick”. Then there is the possibility of a crossover, but is more complicated.

Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo recently teased that the film will unite the Marvel universe, and that fans “will not be disappointed in the number of characters that appear in the movie” – but the heroes of Marvel’s Netflix series have not been confirmed among the movie’s roster. “Nothing can last forever”, Russo told the panel.
