Motorola Teases Moto X Force’s India Launch

The Moto X Force is the global variant of the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 sold exclusively by Verizon Wireless in the US.

Motorola has come up with Moto X Force, a gadget which the Lenovo-owned company claims is all the above and more. The smartphone which was announced in the United States previous year has been reportedly tested by many experts, and the results were pretty excellent as the device holds on to the title given my its company. The device boasts of being the world’s first smartphone with shatterproof display, all made possible through the equipped Moto ShatterShield technology.

IBNLive has also learnt that the X Force was initially scheduled to be launched for the Indian market between January 10 and 16. Motorola hasn’t necessarily cleared things up, but they have dropped some new teasers to let folks know the smartphone is still on track for a release in case they are thinking about snagging another handset. Additionally, the smartphone comes with water-repellent nano-coating.

To recall the specs, the new Moto X Force has a 5.43-inch display with 1440×2560 Quad HD resolution.

The Motorola Moto X Force is powered by a 2.0 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Its primary camera supports 13MP and offers dual-LED flash, an aperture of f/2.0 with 76 degree field of view, while the front camera is 5MP and supports an f/2.2 aperture with a 72 degree FOV. As far as pricing goes, the report suggests the Moto X Force will be priced around the Rs 50,000 ($738) mark, similar to other flagship Android smartphones on sale in the country.

The smartphone has 32GB and 64GB inbuilt storage options and both come with microSD card slot up to 2TB. For connectivity, Moto X Force has 4G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi with MIMO, and infrared. The Moto X Play got the update earlier this month soon after which an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto G 3rd Gen followed.
