Thursday night’s “American Idol” episode was the final one for the series, pending of course some sort of last-second move where the show gets renewed for another run. Last year, at the age of 15, Brooke started to write the first chapter of her American Idol journey, auditioning for the show and eliciting positive feedback from judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick, Jr. every step of the way. Her audition will be among the final auditions of this season, and the website said that she has a winning personality, as well as great vocal horsepower and impressive control. Her family has glittery “Colette” signs, written in the Coca-Cola font, and you know there was a whole branding discussion around the Lush dinner table. Jennifer Lopez said she likes her a lot and loves the way she sings. Connick thought that while the performance was flawed in spots, other parts of the performance he found “refreshing”. You’ll have to tune in tonight to see! I would love that, considering we’ve had way too many male winners in recent years. She’s been working hard in the previous year to improve her performance skills per the judges’ advice, and this time, she blows the judges away with “Careless” by RaeLynn.
Jean fans may catch a glimpse of the young singer beginning January 27 when the show’s famous “Hollywood Week” begins.

With the auditions over, next week the grueling process of Hollywood Week begins. He auditioned with “I’m Not The Only One” by Sam Smith. Of course, the judges loved it – and really, what was there not to love? – and so concluded the audition round.
