Aston Villa captain Fabian Delph is reportedly on the verge of a remarkable second U-turn with the midfielder set to join Manchester City.
Delph last week pulled the plug on an £8million move to the Etihad Stadium, pledging his commitment to Aston Villa where he was named captain of the club.
A picture has been doing the rounds on social media supposedly showing the England global heading into a hospital to undergo a medical, and even the Manchester Evening News and the Birmingham Mail are reporting that the deal could still go ahead.
Delph was widely expected to complete a move to City for £8m last weekend but surprised everybody by changing his mind.
Unfortunately for Villa fans this has meant the prowling eye of the Premier League’s top clubs have been circling.
“I’m aware there has been intense media speculation surrounding my future in the last 24 hours and I want to set the record straight“, a statement said.

Remember that? Well, it turns out Delph only meant the next six days of his future.
