Sylvester Stallone left the stage after winning best supporting actor, motion picture in Creed without thanking the film’s other star, Michael B. Jordan, or director Ryan Coogler. Each is split into a Drama and Musical/Comedy sub-category, which means it has two winners who can snag an Oscar! In Hollywood, though, it’s all about the buzz, and “The Martian” and “The Revenant” just leapt back into the spotlight. That drama was based on the reporters who investigated widespread sexual abuse by Roman Catholic priests. The space blockbuster movie tells the story of an astronaut stranded alone in the harsh lands of planet Mars where the astronaut (Damon) needed to find a way to survive. Amazon’s musical comedy-drama scored a pair of big wins: One for the show as a whole, and another for star Gael Garcia Bernal. Director Ridley Scott said he was confused by the film’s nomination in that category.

DiCaprio, who won a Golden Globe as best dramatic actor for his role in The Revenant, dedicated his award to the First Nations communities and indigenous people.

“I know how lucky I am to do this for a living, and when people go see movies, it’s kind of rare”.
