Confident Trump says could ‘shoot somebody’ and not lose voters
“I am here to announce that I am officially endorsing Ted Cruz to become the first Hispanic president of the United States, the first first-generation president of the United States, the most conservative president of the United States since Ronald Reagan”, Beck said at a rally hosted by a constellation of super PACs supporting Cruz at a Bible college here. “It’s, like, incredible”, he added.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Sioux Center, Iowa, on Saturday, Trump said he could gun down some Americans and still be popular among his loyal supporters.
Trump has been known throughout his campaign for stirring controversy with similar remarks, and his latest comes amid a raging debate in the USA regarding gun-control laws and lone-wolf terrorism.
Liz Mair, a communications operative who is running one of the GOP’s few anti-Trump efforts, said donors affiliated with other candidates would rather let Trump beat Cruz in the early voting states than let their least-favorite senator gain momentum. An NBC News/Survey Monkey poll released on January 5 found 51% of his supporters were “absolutely certain” they will vote for him.
Leading US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says there is not much he could possibly do to lose his support.
Sanders recently overtook Clinton in Iowa according to a CNN-ORC poll, but other surveys still show him trailing the former secretary of State by a narrow margin.
Ted Cruz speaks with Iowans on Saturday in New Hartford, a small town near Waterloo.
Ten days to the Iowa caucuses, and the Republican candidates are hitting the campaign trail hard throughout Central Iowa.
The closeness of the caucuses loomed over the day’s events, especially at both rallies, where Beck spoke alarmingly of Trump potentially cruising to the nomination if he wins in Iowa.
Ted Cruz claimed Saturday that Donald Trump still supports “amnesty” for undocumented immigrants, arguing that Trump’s planned deportations were merely an end-around to grant citizenship to those in the US who are here illegally. She also took something of a veiled shot at Trump’s detractors from the right who have criticized the candidate on some of his positions.
The onetime reality TV star then took to Twitter, launching his usual barrage of attacks including on Cruz’s birth in Canada, which he says could disqualify him from the race.
Although he says he has been asked “many times”, Beck has “never trusted anyone enough – until now”.
When asked about the alleged beating, Trump said that his followers are “very passionate.” .

Cruz’s new offensive was all the more telling given his hesitation over the past week to indulge in the same Trump bashing with voters as he does with reporters.
