The authority says passengers should contact their airline directly for specific flight information and to re-book any flights if necessary.

“It’s a domino effect with the airline industry so there’s a good chance with the ongoing weather that they’re expect through the weekend that we’ll see more cancellations here in Austin”, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport spokesman Jason Zielinski tells KEYE-TV of Austin.
Neighbor island airports reported delays on mainland flights, but no cancellations.
United Airlines said on its website that the winter storm pummeling its hubs at Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, N.J., Dulles International Airport near Washington, and at other airports throughout the region, means extended delays and flight cancellations.
BWI Airport tweeted Saturday afternoon there could be some airline flights there on Sunday and “That will depend on weather conditions and airline operational decisions”. That’s about 5,000 fewer flights – and 400,000 fewer passengers – than Thursday or Friday. Those cancelations center on Philadelphia, Washington and New York City.
The bulk of Saturday’s 4,298 cancelations are at airports in the New York City and Washington metro areas, according to flight tracking service FlightAware. Another 2,226 flights were canceled for Sunday.
Two of Washington, D.C.’s major airports – Dulles and Reagan National – said their runways would remain closed all day as crews grappled with heavy and drifting snow. Already, 75% of the day’s flights at LaGuardia had been canceled as of 9 a.m., according to FlightAware.
– If your flight is canceled – and you are at the airport – get in line to speak to a customer service representative.

It was not clear how many flights – if any – would end up flying to the New York City area airports. You’ll pay long-distance rates, but might not have to wait. So consider buying a one-day pass. It typically costs $50, but discounts can sometimes be found online.
