Canadian-born Jacob picked up Best Young Actor for his role in the hotly anticipated film Room.
On the television side, “Mr Robot” took best drama and Indian-American Aziz Ansari’s “Master of None” surprised everyone by winning best comedy. Finally, Christian Bale and Amy Schumer got their recognition too for best actor and the movie Trainwreck respectively. Thanks to the wider breadth of categories, Mad Max: Fury Road won nine awards from critics, including Best Director, Best Action Movie and Best Actor and Actress in an Action Movie for Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, respectively.

Quirky comedian T.J. Miller hosted the award ceremony and started the night off with an interesting monologue that included puppets and poked fun at the entertainment business, including Golden Globes’ host Ricky Gervais.
9-year-old Jacob Tremblay warmed everyone’s hearts with his sweet acceptance speech, after he won the title of Best Young Actor at the Critics’ Choice Awards.
Amy Schumer won for lead actress in a comedy for “Trainwreck”. Many movies, television series, actors and actresses received awards, whereas in other award shows, they barely got any recognition. Vikander also won a supporting actress award for “The Danish Girl”.
Animated Feature was named “Inside Out”, Sci-Fi Movie was “Ex Machina’, Foreign Language Film “Son of Saul’ and Documentary Feature was Amy Winehouse story “Amy'”.
Stepping on a box so he could reach the microphone, Jacob said: “This is super cool”.
The film is up for 10 Oscars including Best Picture.
Both actors won Golden Globes last week and are front-runners for the Oscars.
Best Song: Wiz Khalifa for “See You Again” from “Furious 7”.

Constance Zimmer walked away with the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her work on UnREAL.
