Four dead as youth charged in gun rampage
On Saturday, the RCMP announced charges against a 17-year-old, whose identity can not be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

A 17-year-old boy was due to appear in court on Monday, charged with four counts of murder after Friday’s deadly incident in La Loche, an impoverished town in the western province of Saskatchewan.
The school teaches prekindergarten to 12th grade, and houses about 900 students in two buildings, its Facebook page says.
The deceased have been identified as, Dayne Fontaine, 17, and Drayden Fontaine, 13, both from La Loche were located deceased in the residence on the 300 block of Dene Crescent.
Daven Janvier was looking dazed as he stood outside the school where Marie Jaqueline Janvier was shot, near a makeshift memorial of candles placed in the snow.
And the 35-year-old Adam Wood had started his teaching career here only last September.

“We just need to make sure (the resources are) not just there for the short-term, but as long as necessary”, said Wall.
Extra doctors and nurses were sent to treat patients in Keewatin Yatthe regional health authority’s 16-bed hospital, said spokesman Dale West. He declined to say how many people had been injured.
The family of Adam Wood said what happened in this tiny community gives the country an “opportunity to examine ourselves and hopefully, come out better and stronger as a community and a nation”.
Levy said a lockdown at the school was lifted after several hours.
RCMP responded to the La Loche Community School’s Dene high school shortly after 1 p.m. after reports of a person discharging a firearm at people.
Acting mayor Kevin Janvier said the tragedy has hurt everyone in La Loche.
“Words can not express my shock and sorrow at the horrific events today in La Loche”, Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall said.
“This is every parent’s worst nightmare”, Trudeau said. Seven other people injured in the shooting had been hospitalized, Butterworth-Carr said. “These emotional and mental wounds… will take years to heal”. “It’s a huge impact on the community of La Loche”.
“On behalf of all Canadians, Sophie and I offer the families and friends of the victims our deepest condolences on this darkest of days”, Trudeau said in a statement on Friday.
“The shooting hits close to home for me as my family members attend the school”, Joliebois said.
The shooting drew outpourings of support and sympathy from across Canada, where school shootings remain rare. He said two wounded people were in critical condition.
The new prime minister said his Liberal government would have to reflect on Canada’s current gun laws in the coming weeks and months in light of the shooting.

Mr Janvier said police told him the gunman first shot two of his siblings at home then made his way to the school.
