Amsterdam’s opened a gaming focused hotel, consoles included

At the opening of The Arcade Hotel, the guests delighted themselves with street food, gin tasting and an outdoor Federation Internationale de Football Association tournament. In the lobby, there’s multiplayer orientated consoles which anyone passing through can pick up and have a game on, joining in with the action. The room provides a chilling atmosphere for the customer with a leisure bar and a retro gaming console. The hotel offers nearly all the standard modern amenities, but guests can expect more from it. As the hotel is dedicated to gamers, visitors can find gaming amenities in the property. It is dubbed the world’s first hotel for gamers where guests can feel like they’re just at their friend’s home, hanging out and playing games.

Daniel Salmanovich, the owner of the place, added the themed hotel to his family-run hotel business. The library includes comics from Dark Horse, DC, and more. Apart from its famous Red Light district and legal recreational activities, Netherland’s capital now offers The Arcade Hotel, a place fitted exclusively for gamers and geeks. There are plans to build a special gaming room in the hotel within the next couple of years and extend the number of rooms from 36 to 45. This is a hotel that caters to gamers through and through, and the only reason we’d imagine a gamer wouldn’t want to check in is because they want to make sure they don’t spend their entire vacation at the hotel. Pricing for the rooms starts at just a smidgen over $80 (75 Euro), which is certainly a lucrative offer, especially considering all the gaming gear that’s been offered at no extra charge.

Cashing in on the fact that hotels have never truly cared about offering gaming consoled, the concept is much more appealing for gamers who are looking forward to meeting like-minded people.
