On Friday it was revealed that Mariah Carey is engaged to boyfriend James Packer, after the Australian billionaire businessman popped the question with a 35-carat engagement ring.
Mariah Carey and James Packer went public with their dating status in June of 2015 and spent the summer on a cruise on his yacht along the Italian Rivera.
Cannon split with Carey in August 2014 after a six-year marriage which produced Dem Babies Moroccan and Monroe.
“I’m so excited to be in Melbourne with James for New Year’s Eve”, the husky-voiced songstress reportedly said at the fete.
“She wants this wedding to be the biggest and most expensive wedding that the world has ever seen!”

A close friend of the couple confirmed the upcoming nuptials, saying she was “over the moon that James has found such happiness with Mariah”. “Nick is happy for them”, a source told E!. “He treats her like platinum”.
