SC State Rep., Attorney for Walter Scott Switches from Hillary to Bernie
Obama, who remains very popular within his own Democratic Party, has said he will not endorse a candidate in the primary but has admitted he is watching closely to see who will succeed him. The Republican National Committee has taken the unusual step of sending out press releases to defend Sanders against Clinton’s attacks. Obama suggested he is a one-issue candidate, who will have to broaden his scope. “I don’t think that resonates well”. Bamberg is also leading Democrat in the SC state legislature. As Tina Fey reminded us on Saturday Night Live this weekend, Sarah Palin endorsed business mogul Donald Trump last week, and, as Slate reported, State Representative Justin T. Bamberg of SC, who’s also the lawyer for the family of Walter L. Scott, an unarmed African American man who was fatally shot by a police officer during a traffic stop in 2015, withdrew his support for Clinton. Praising her extensive preparation for the Oval Office, Obama said Clinton’s experience had taught her to “campaign more in prose than poetry”.

Only independents and younger voters, however, give Sanders a significant edge over the former secretary of state. Mr Sanders has gone a step further, block-booking fleets of rental cars and buses as part of his “Go Home for Bernie” drive to persuade college students to leave campus for a day and travel to their homes to vote and organise others to vote, which may be in conservative-leaning counties where he has less of a natural advantage. But Obama’s presidency has looked much like the one Clinton is promising.
He pointed to a new CNN/ORC poll that showed him crushing all Republican contenders in New Hampshire, while Clinton falls within the margin of error against majority.
In this photo taken January 21, 2016, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and musician Demi Lovato acknowledge the cheering crowd at a rally on the campus of University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
The latest Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics poll found Clinton with 42 percent, Sanders with 40 percent and O’Malley with just 4 percent of likely Democratic caucus-goers. But you know what? “And, as a outcome, you know, where they stood at the beginning probably helps to explain why the language sometimes is different”, Obama said, offering context to explain Sanders’ surprisingly successful challenge to Clinton’s previously presumed nomination. Clinton has warned that Sanders’ proposal risks jeopardizing the progress made with Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
Cruz picked up an endorsement Monday from Rick Perry, the former governor of his home state, who dropped out of the presidential race a year ago.
If he can manage to pull off an upset in Iowa – or even come close – Sanders would get a major boost heading into New Hampshire, where he holds a decent lead in the polls. “We are going to win this thing”.
The Iowa contest is particularly important to Clinton, who lost the state in 2008, setting in motion Obama’s path to the White House. But Sanders calls himself a “Democratic socialist” and appeals to many young voters who like his plan to reel in Wall Street. Backed by a small band, Lovato performed several songs, including her hit “Confident”, after which she said “I don’t think there’s a woman more confident than Hillary Clinton”.

The Clinton campaign did not immediately respond to questions about the endorsement.
