Atsu said he was pleased with the prospect of getting some match time especially as he did not have a lot of match time when he went to Everton and Bournemouth on loan from Chelsea.
Malaga, who sit 12th in La Liga, have moved swiftly to fill the 28-year-old’s boots with Atsu, beating off competition from Rayo Vallecano and Levante.
Moroccan global Amrabat moved to the Premier League, joining Watford, in a £6million deal.
Christian Atsu, right, will move to Malaga after failing to make a Premier League appearance at Bournemouth. I can not say much more than this.
Atsu, 24, was also on the radar of Levante and confirmed holding negotiations with the club’s manager but he has swerved them to join rivals Malaga after landing in Spain on Monday. “He is not a young player, he is 24 and such guys need to play”.

The Ghana global spent the first half of this season on loan at newly-promoted Bournemouth, but managed only two starts, both coming in the League Cup, for Eddie Howe’s side.
