So Exactly How Did Blake Griffin Break His Hand?
Without him in the lineup, the Clippers were 11-3 entering Tuesday’s game at Indiana.

Blake Griffin left the Los Angeles Clippers, returning home Sunday from the team’s five-game road trip after suffering what ESPN reports is a broken right hand suffered in an undisclosed team-related incident. He had been expected to rejoin the Clippers on their current five-game road trip. The fight apparently started in a restaurant and continued outside, where Griffin allegedly hit the equipment staffer “multiple times”. The Clippers said Griffin had not suffered a setback, which is true, but it seems as though he has suffered a completely new injury by breaking his hand, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.
Griffin reportedly hit the staff member inside the restaurant before the staff member went outside, where Griffin followed him and hit him again.
Griffin has been out since December 26 with the quad injury, and ESPN cited sources saying the hand injury should keep Griffin out “a matter of weeks, as opposed to days”.

In 30 games this season he has averaged 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. As of late Monday, the team was still evaluating the extent of his hand injury, sources said.
